Ariel Manito

Commercial Manager

Bachelor of Finance from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE).

He began his career in InvertirOnline where he developed in different sectors, until he became Operations and Services Manager. He subsequently served as Team Leader in Puente, specializing in the Retail Banking Commercial Sector. Since 2017, and with more than 10 years of experience in the market, he develops his passion for finance and technology as part of the Personal Portfolio Team.

Walter Stoeppelwerth

Chief Investment Officer

MBA in Finance (Kenan Flager School, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill) and BA in History from Duke University. He has 27 years of experience in the areas of Research and Portfolio Management for emerging markets, occupying positions of analyst, Director of Research and Strategist in Latin America based in Argentina and Brazil. He worked for twelve years in New York, where he was the co-portfolio manager of the long / short fund of emerging markets of Tiedeman Investment Group and two other groups from 2002 to 2014. He has published extensively on the economic challenges in emerging markets, with an emphasis on how financial instruments react to adjustment plans in countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Turkey, Mexico and South Africa. Today, he is Chief Investment Officer of Portfolio Personal Inversiones SA, where he leads a research team on macroeconomics, fixed income and equities, in addition to his role as CIO for the area of investment funds.

Joaquín Bagües

Head of Strategy

Masters in Finance from Torcuato Di Tella University. He worked at KPMG Argentina as a Deal Advisory Consultant analyzing M&A operations, business restructuring and developing business strategy for local & international corporate clients. And later, he served as the Head of Emerging Market Funds at Balanz Capital, where he started in 2015. Additionally, he works as an Academic Advisor and professor of Macroeconomics at the Austral University. In 2019, he joined PPI as head of Strategy.

Nicolás Chiesa

Managing Director

Bachelor’s in Economics from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA). He has more than 15 years’ experience in the financial markets within the Sales & Trading area. Particularly noteworthy is the 5 years spent at INTL Cibsa as a Fixed Income trader and 11 years at Balanz Capital as Head Fixed Income Trader. He has participated in different academic posts in the UBA, teaching classes on the capital markets. Since 2018, he serves as PPI Managing Director Institucional Sales & Trading Desk. His focus is to consolidate the growth of the company's institutional clients area.

Santiago Firpo

Managing Director Sales Desk

Holds a BA in Economics from Universidad Católica Argentina, postgraduate studies in Finance at CEMA and is an MBA Candidate at IAE Business School. Santiago has over 10 years experience in the Financial Markets, developing relationships with US, Europe and LATAM Institutional Investors. Before joining PPI as Sales & Trading Managing Director, he was Partner and Head of Sales at Puente and Market Analyst at Standard Bank.

Federico Santader

Managing Director Sales Desk

Bachelor’s in Economics from the UCEMA. Master in Finance from de UCEMA, he has more than 10 years of experience in the financial sector, working as Analyst in the Research area of leading companies as including Standard and Poor and the ISI Emerging Market - Euromoney Institutional Investor Company. After few years, he was Portfolio Manager of PerrSant Hedge Fund. In the last years, he formed part of the Institutional Sales area of Puente, until he joined to the PPI team. He has a solid experience in credit risk analysis of financial and corporate Institutions, and permanent dialogue with institutional clients of the main markets of the world.
